Poul Christie – Founding Director
Born and educated in Auckland, New Zealand. Poul has spent time farming, in the engineering realm and has worked with logging machinery prior to completing his carpentry training with Norm Gibson of Keith Hay Homes.
Following this he also trained in heavy construction under Leo Shaw of the Ministry of Works. This preparation moved Poul to form iDAC Construction in 1973. After the completion of over 150 significant commercial construction projects in 29 years, Poul teamed up with Mike Watkins in 2002 to form Speedfloor. Their first project together was the refurbishment of Auckland’s Civic Theatre.
Poul sees iDAC as an organisation to be proud of and views their clients as partners. If you really want to know Poul, shake his hand and know he is a man of his word.
